Thanksgiving is this week, so… of course, this recipe is on my list of things to make. We are having a low-key Thanksgiving this year, with just hubby and I and our 6 kiddos. Holidays always remind us how far we live from our families. And having just lost my brother a couple months ago, this year will have some moments of sadness. Amid all of that, we intend to make memories for our kids and be grateful for our MANY blessings!
In my opinion, there isn’t a better cranberry sauce than this. And you just can’t have turkey and stuffing without this pop of color or twangy-sweetness to accompany it. I grew up with this same recipe made every year and even though my husband can easily live without it, a few of the kids are enjoying it with me. I prefer this made at least 2 days before serving to allow the flavors to join up and compliment each other smoothly.
Enjoy!
