Welcome… and thank you for stopping by to check out my blog! This has been a long time coming. Every year when we ask God for our new “word of the year”, it’s with a bit of apprehension as we wait on that word. This year (2017), my word was simple – Bigger! That’s it. Bigger! I was confused, a bit frustrated and uncertain about what that meant. One morning as I was walking, I asked God to give me a little more clarity and He gave me a picture of expansion and a path opening. I got chills, goosebumps of excitement!
A few months later, our pastor walked through a sermon series on Unmasking. One of the clear messages that God spoke to me during that was this concept of celebrating. Celebration is one of the best ways to overcome shame in our lives. Shame is something everyone carries in some area and/or time in their life. I certainly have carried around plenty but this blog is just one more step in overcoming and stepping out. My story and life has value that others can benefit from and this is me, just being willing…
